Joint Industry Projects (JIPs)

EM&I has co-founded, and now leads several JIPs that draw industry representatives together to enable collaboration, research and development of new capabilities for Asset Integrity Management and provide thought leadership.

With JIPs looking at integrity management from Floating Offshore Wind (FloWind), through Floating Gas production and storage (FloGas), to Hull Inspection Techniques and Strategy (HITS) of FPSOs, these collaborations seek to drive development of new and improved approaches to asset integrity management and are aligned with EM&I’s approach to the energy transition by:

  • mitigating safety risk;
  • reducing cost to owners and operators;
  • improving efficiency;
  • enhancing data;
  • reducing impact on operations;
  • aligning regulatory frameworks; and
  • reducing environmental impact.
